Worship at FBC
Join us for Sunday morning worship
at First Baptist Church.
First Worship is a contemporary worship gathering which meets in the Dover Activities Building, located on the Washington Street (east) side of our campus. The music in the service ranges from fresh, new contemporary worship songs to new arrangements of classic hymns. Scripture is read, we pray together, and we hear a sermon from our Pastor. Parking is available directly across the street, at the corner of Washington and Campbell Streets. Come early for fellowship, donuts, coffee, milk, or juice, served from about 8:15 AM. The service begins at 8:45 AM.
Sanctuary Worship may be described as a more "classic" or "traditional" worship gathering and meets in the church's Sanctuary located on Lafayette Street. Music in the service is led and presented by our Sanctuary Choir, with occasional leadership from the Chapel Choir or one of our children's choirs. Handbells and other instruments assist us in our worship from time to time. Scripture, prayers, and sermon are included in this service. The service begins at 10:55 AM.
Small group Bible study is available through our Sunday School ministry which meets at 9:45 AM, between the two morning worship services. We have small groups for all ages. Coed classes are available, too. We'll help you find the right group for you!
