Youth Passport 2006

We made it to Camp. Traveled safe and Bob did a super job getting us here! The theme for the week is Free for All. "You my brothers and sisters were called to be Free." Galations 5:13 Everyone got to their small Bible Study groups and all were having a great time.

We had to introduce our group by answering the question…. If you could have anything free and what would it be and Why…. FBC youth came up with "Free Dance Lesson" because they have learned from their leaders how to break it down. HA! HA!

Monday

We learned that we are Free from Labels and Props through The Grace of Jesus. Jesus gives us the label we need.

Went to mission project sites for the first time and we were moved by raking leaves, playing with children,and painting rehabilitation center. We had the afternoon to relax and then after worship we had the famous REC NIGHT! Claire's team won first place. A fun time was had by all in the rain! We did our devotions on the bus on the way to Sonic for an ice cream treat.

Tuesday

We started the day with morning celebration, and then all of the youth went off into their Bible study groups and continued the days discussion concerning being free in Christ. Mission projects began around 11 am and finished up at 2:30...the students then had about 2 and a half hours of free time til dinner. I, Carol Ann, beat all of the boys in cards woo woo! Later that evening, after the drenching thunderstorm, we headed off for evening worship - what a wonderful experience! The night was then concluded with a "foot-loose-and-fancy-free" party! It was amazing - check out the pics below.

Wednesday

We had a wonderful day from beginning to the end with our devotions. The beach party had to be canceled because of a thunderstorm. We moved back to campus and had a wonderful time. We had a wonderful time in our church group devotions and concluded with Pizza at midnight!!! That does the body good!
