Inclement Weather Information

Our inclement weather procedures:

Regardless of the church's announced schedule of openings or closings, always use your best judgment about your local conditions. Please do not put safety or health at risk by trying to come to church when conditions appear unsafe or dangerous to you.

Child Development Center and Mother's Morning Out Procedures:

If the Cleveland County School System is CLOSED for the day, the CDC and MMO programs will be CLOSED for the day. When the Shelby Zone is on a delayed status, the CDC will open at 8:30 AM and MMO will open at 9:00 AM.

Church Office Procedures

The church office will follow the winter weather closing schedule Cleveland County Schools. In the case of a delayed schedule, the office will open on the same delayed schedule. If the schools are closed for the day, the office will be closed for the morning, but may reopen in the afternoon if weather and road conditions improve enough that it becomes safe for employees to travel. 

Wednesday Night procedures

We will cancel Wednesday evening activities if the Cleveland County Schools are closed on that day. If severe weather develops late in the day, an announcement about Wednesday activities will be made here on the website and through the outlets listed below.

Sunday procedures

In case of harsh winter weather on Sunday, we will make every effort to have an 11:00 AM worship service in some form. This If considerable power outages exist throughout the community, we may need to cancel all Sunday activities. If any or all activities are cancelled or rescheduled, we will announce the changes through the outlets listed below.

• This website will contain updated information any time severe weather may cause a change in schedule, unless power outages prevent us from uploading information to the site.
