Following Jesus

Here at First Baptist Church, our vision is to see every person in Shelby and our neighboring communities discover the meaning and purpose of thier lives through a daily relationship with Jesus -- a relationship that transforms character, values and interaction with others.

How to Begin the Journey:

• A    Admit to God that you have turned away from Him through sin.  (Romans 3:23, 6:23, Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
   
• B   Believe!  By faith receive Jesus into your life as you accept his gift of forgiveness and trust your life into his hands. (John 3:16, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 5:8)
   
• C   Confess your faith in Jesus by looking to him as Lord of your life -- your leader, your master, your guide! (Romans 10:9-10, 13)
